All ArtFlock’s courses and workshop fees come with complete set of materials for lesson usage. So you do not have to worry about investing in materials that you rarely use or unfamiliar with. Understanding Colours & Values
Course Overview In this Short Course, participants will develop an understanding of the relationships between colours and the concept of matching colours.
At the beginning of the course, participants will be introduced to the colour wheel and the importance of the wheel. They will explore mixing colours and learn to see colours as values, because it is an important aspect of creating depth and contrast in every art pieces. Towards the end of this course, participants will get a feel for how values and colours work in harmony through a still life painting of fruits.

Basic drawing techniques
Course Overview Drawing could be effortless when you understand the right techniques and ways to observe and perceive things. Enables participants to confidently create visual expression while capturing a scene or objects.
In this Short course, students will participate in various technique building exercises that help them to develop observational skills and pay attention to detail, structure and proportion. ExPloration with drawing media
Course Overview Learn the art of dry media and discover various creative methods of working with them.
This program is focused on the exploration of different usages and techniques of the dry media such as, Oil Pastels, Charcoal, Soft Pastels, Markers and Ink. The course starts off with an introduction to the characteristics of the materials and trying it out with basic drawing exercises. Through the experimenting and process of various exercises, you will be able to find what works best for you.

HumaN portrait series 1
Course Overview Learning to sketch and paint human portraits can be quite a daunting process, but with ArtFlock’s sequential method you will pick up the basics in no time.
In this 6 weeks course, participants will be engaged in a comprehensive study of human facial features and its form. We study the shapes and contours of each individual features, and pay close attention to details. They will also be introduced to drawing using guidelines and various shading techniques to enhance forms. Through the deep understanding of the relationship among the facial features on the face, participants will be able to achieve better proportions and create a realistic portrait.

Human portrait series 2
Course Overview Having completed the Human Portrait Series 1, featuring portrait drawing, participants are now ready to embark on the next course, Human Portrait Series 2, using acrylic painting.
In this course, we add life to our portrait drawing by painting it with acrylic paint. Learn basic acrylic blending techniques and explore the different tones available by mixing colours together. Observe the different colours within your own self portrait photo and successfully add contrast to your painting without the use of black paint.

Watercolour painting Techniques
Course Overview Learn a range of watercolour painting techniques and discover various possibilities of expressing yourself through this versatile medium.
Participants will get started by understanding the characteristics of watercolour, the basic supplies and media used for watercolour painting. They will also explore different watercolour application techniques and colour mixing to create values, form and textures in their artwork.

1. What is the student - teacher ratio?
There will be 1 instructor to 6 students.
2. What do I need to bring for class?
No worries, all materials will be provided!
3. Can I bring my own materials and tools?
Yes you may! However, please inform us in advance if you would like to bring your own art materials and tools. It will be subjected to approval.
4. Do I require prior art training, to be able to sign up for this course?
We have different levels for the courses. You do not need any prior art training if you are attending the level 1 courses. However, there are pre-requisites for the level 2 courses and above.
5. Can my friends sit-in during the class?
Only ArtFlock students can attend our classes. However, we do have a Waiting Area and there are TONS of Cafes & Restaurants around the area for your friends to hang around!
6. Can I collect my artwork another day, if I am unable to bring it back after class?
Yes you may, but you have to collect it 1 week after the class. If not, we will discard it without prior notice. You may also opt to mail the artwork by post.
7. Do you provide carriers for the artwork?
We will provide a complementary folder for you to keep your artwork, upon signing up.
