POP ART PORTRAIT PAINTING
LInspired by the famous Pop artist, Roy Lichtenstein, who gained renown in the early 1960s as a leading Pop artist for paintings sourced from comic books and advertisement illustrations. Participants will explore the vivid colours, black outlines and sharp paintwork, turning their own self-portrait into a Pop Art.

  • Introduction to Pop Art movement and influential artists’ styles
  • Explore creating a self-portrait Pop Art painting inspired by prints from comic books and graphic illustration.
  • Explore the vivid colour, black outlines, and sharp paintwork of Pop Art
  • Learn basic colour schemes and the application of paints in the style of Pop Art

ABSTRACT SEASHORE POUR ART

FAQs

1.  What is the student - teacher ratio?
  • There will be 1 instructor to 4 students.

2.  What do I need to bring for class?
  • No worries, all materials will be provided!

3.  Can I bring my own materials and tools?
  • Yes you may! However, please inform us in advance if you would like to bring your own art materials and tools. It will be subjected to approval. 
 
4.  Do I require prior art training, to be able to sign up for this course?
  • We have different levels for the courses. You do not need any prior art training if you are attending the level 1 courses. However, there are pre-requisites for the level 2 courses and above.
 
5.  Can my friends sit-in during the class?
  • Only ArtFlock students can attend our classes. However, we do have a Waiting Area and there are TONS of Cafes & Restaurants around the area for your friends to hang around!
 
6.  Can I collect my artwork another day, if I am unable to bring it back after class?
  • Yes you may, but you have to collect it 1 week after the class. If not, we will discard it without prior notice. You may also opt to mail the artwork by post.
  • We highly recommend bringing it home when it is completely dry. However, if you would like to bring it home on the day, please allow at least 1 hour after artwork completion. It will be at your own risk, if you decide to bring your artwork home immediately.

7. Am I allowed to stay back to continue after class?
  • We allow you to stay back up to an hour after class to continue your practice/artwork. However, it is subject to the availability of the space.
